MHCO Pleasure/Fun Driving Day coming up this Sat June 24 - Please RSVP by Wednesday June 21 2017
On Saturday June 24, the MHCO Pleasure Drive is back by popular demand and this year it has a unique twist to it - not only are there trails to drive on but also the opportunity to practice on a Cones Course as well as obstacles to practice over like a bridge - thus it will be a Fun Day of Driving in general!
This year we asked for location suggestions and although we received only one suggestion, we feel it was definitely a good one: BDF Equestrian in Flesherton (near the beautiful Beaver Valley beautiful Beaver Valley, just five minutes south of Flesherton, half an hour south of Collingwood and forty minutes north of Orangeville). We feel this will offer members a unique driving experience that they might not have at home or on a regular driving trail. This day is open to all drivers and horses - it will be accessible for those who wish to do a little or a lot of driving that day so you can go at you/your horse's own pace and stamina level.

There are 5 km of track on well groomed trails their woods as well as access to their marathon course which has water and bridges to drive over (or if you are brave, go through the water beside it). The property hosts, Martha and Duncan Younger, are going to set up a cones course in one of their rings for drivers to play around on. Her husband is an ex-chef and loves cooking for people so lunch will be supplied (see fees below).
Agenda for the Day:
10am - 3pm (registration @10am, property drive @10:30am, lunch@12:30pm, cones practice/free time @1:30pm-3pm) HELMETS ARE MANDATORY
Cost: $30 for lunch included or $25 if you want to bring your own lunch - (please bring the exact amount in cash or a personal cheque made out to "BDF Equestrian"). Fee will be collected by Carolyn Aarup on the day and she will pay this directly to BDF Equestrian
