MHCO Fall Pleasure Drive - location suggestions wanted please
Hi Fellow MHCO Members!
Due to popular demand, the MHCO Pleasure Drive is back!!!
So we have a date (Sunday, September 10, 2017) but would like some ideas of where it could be held.
Potential locations must fit the following criteria:
- be horse-friendly (horses allowed to be on the property, trails must be wide enough/safe enough for 2 wheel and 4 wheel carriages)
- trails should be flat with minimum slopes or hills to allow for relaxed, easy drive by all members and their horses regardless of horses' stamina
- be open and accessible at this time of year (fall)
- be reasonably priced (minimal fee or free)
- must have adequate parking for horse trailers
Potential locations could be public venues (e.g. provincial park) or private property (e.g. member's property or other private property) but must be suitable for a minimum 1 hour drive or longer. It would also be helpful if you have driven on it yourself or if you know that Miniature horses have driven at the location to ensure it would be suitable.
